Why Markdown?
Markdown keeps the structure of a document — headings, lists, paragraphs — in plain text, so AI assistants, note apps and static sites read it far better than raw PDF text. Headings are detected from font size, so documents with clear title styles convert best.
Prefer plain text? Switch the output to Plain text, or use PDF to Text. To see the Markdown rendered, paste it into Markdown to HTML.
Private by design
Most online PDF services upload your document to their servers. This tool processes the file entirely in your browser with open-source libraries (pdf-lib and PDF.js), so contracts, invoices, bank statements and IDs never leave your device.
