Cómo usar: Mouse Test
- Move the pointer into the box and click each button — the matching part of the mouse lights up and turns green once it works.
- Scroll up and down; the counters and the scroll type (notched or smooth) update.
- Click the left button slowly several times: any “suspected double-click” means the switch is bouncing.
Spotting a worn switch
When a mouse switch wears out, one press can register as two clicks a few milliseconds apart — files open when you meant to select them, and drags drop early. The test flags any two clicks of the same button less than 80 ms apart, far faster than people click on purpose.
Scroll wheel
A notched wheel sends steps of about 100 pixels (or 3 lines); a smooth wheel or trackpad sends many small steps. A wheel that sometimes scrolls the wrong way usually has a dirty or worn encoder.
Measuring speed instead? Try the Click Speed Test or the Mouse Polling Rate Test.
