Cómo usar: Split Excel
- Click Open file and choose your .xlsx workbook (or paste cells copied from Excel).
- If the workbook has several sheets, pick one — or choose Each sheet to save every sheet as its own file.
- Otherwise split by Rows per file, Number of files or Column value.
- Download single workbooks or Download all (ZIP). Each file keeps a bold, frozen header row.
When to split an Excel file
A shared workbook often needs to become several: one per sales region, one per manager, one per month — or smaller files that an importer, email server or older Excel version will accept. Doing it by hand means filtering, copying and saving over and over. This tool does it in one step.
Split options
- Rows per file — fixed-size chunks, e.g. 10,000 rows each for an import limit.
- Number of files — the rows divided as evenly as possible.
- Column value — one workbook per distinct value in a column, named after the value.
- Each sheet — every worksheet saved as its own .xlsx file, the quick way to separate a multi-sheet workbook.
What is kept and what isn’t
Values come across as values: numbers stay numeric, dates stay dates and text stays text, and each file gets a bold, frozen header row. Formulas are written as their last calculated results, and formatting such as colors, merged cells and charts is not copied — the goal is clean data files.
To turn the pieces into other formats, use Excel to JSON or CSV to SQL.
