Cómo usar: CSS Snow Effect

  1. The preview starts with Snow; choose Snowflakes for six-armed flakes.
  2. Set how many flakes, their size and speed; add Wind for drifting snow.
  3. Choose whole page or one section.
  4. Copy the code and paste it before </body>.

A snow effect without a library

Snow is a set of small, blurred dots falling at slightly different speeds — smaller flakes fall slower, which adds depth — while each sways gently side to side. Everything runs on CSS animations of transform, so it stays smooth and light. The overlay uses pointer-events: none so links and buttons keep working.

More effects — rain, shooting stars, confetti, your own SVG — are in the Particle Animation Generator.

Preguntas frecuentes

How do I add snow to my website for Christmas?
Copy the HTML + CSS here and paste it just before the closing body tag, or into a Custom HTML / Embed block in WordPress, Webflow or Shopify. Remove it after the season.
Will the snow block clicks?
No. The overlay uses pointer-events: none, so visitors can click everything under it.
Can I make it snow only in the header?
Yes — choose One section, paste the code inside your header and give the header position: relative.
