Comment utiliser : Slider & Carousel Generator

  1. Pick a library — Swiper, Splide, Glide.js or Slick and the slide content: demo panels, your own image URLs or cards.
  2. Set slides per view for desktop, tablet and mobile, the gap, effect, loop, autoplay, arrows and pagination.
  3. Check the live preview at desktop, tablet and mobile widths.
  4. Copy the HTML, CSS and JavaScript (CDN or npm), or download a complete HTML page.

Generate sliders without memorizing options

Every carousel library has dozens of options with different names: Swiper’s slidesPerView is Splide’s perPage, Glide’s perView and Slick’s slidesToShow. This generator gives you one set of controls and writes the correct configuration for the library you choose — including responsive breakpoints, which each library defines differently (Swiper uses mobile-first min-width, Splide and Glide desktop-first max-width, Slick a responsive array).

Swiper is the most popular and most capable choice — use it unless you need something tiny. Splide is lighter and has the best accessibility out of the box. Glide.js is the smallest for simple carousels. Slick is still common on older sites and WordPress themes, but it depends on jQuery and is no longer maintained, so choose it only to match an existing project.

Performance and accessibility tips

  • Lazy-load images below the first slide (loading="lazy" is added for you) and size them for the slide width — the image resizer and compressor help.
  • Avoid autoplay for important content; if you use it, keep pause on hover on and a delay of at least 4 seconds.
  • Keep arrows and pagination enabled so keyboard and screen-reader users can navigate.
  • Carousels in the first screen can hurt Largest Contentful Paint — make sure the first image is not lazy-loaded if it is your LCP element.

Library-specific guides: Swiper, Splide, Glide.js and Slick. For Webflow, paste the HTML into an Embed element and the script before </body>.

Questions fréquentes

Which slider library is best?
Swiper for features and popularity, Splide for accessibility and size, Glide.js for the smallest footprint. Use Slick only on existing jQuery sites.
Can I use the code in WordPress or Webflow?
Yes. Put the CSS link and styles in the head, the HTML where the slider should appear (an Embed or Custom HTML block) and the script before </body>.
Are the libraries free for commercial use?
Yes — Swiper, Splide, Glide.js and Slick are all MIT-licensed.
Why do the images in my code say images/slide-1.jpg?
Those are placeholders for your own files. Paste your image URLs in the Images box to use them directly.
