Comment utiliser : Voice Recorder
- Press Record and allow microphone access when the browser asks.
- Speak — the meter shows your level. Pause and resume as often as you like.
- Press Stop. The recording appears below with a player.
- Download it as WebM (small) or WAV (works everywhere), or trim it first in the Audio Trimmer.
Record audio without installing anything
The recorder uses your browser’s built-in MediaRecorder, so the audio is captured and stored on your device only. That makes it handy for voice memos, podcast takes, interview answers, language practice or checking how you sound before a call.
- WebM / Opus files are small and play in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
- WAV is uncompressed and opens in any audio editor or player, including on iPhone and Mac.
- Noise suppression and echo cancellation can be turned off for music or ambient recordings.

Is my recording uploaded?
No. Recording happens in your browser and the files stay on your device until you download them.
What format are recordings saved in?
WebM (Opus) by default — Safari records MP4 / AAC instead — and you can download any recording as WAV, which plays everywhere.

Allow microphone access when the browser asks. If you blocked it, click the lock icon in the address bar and allow the microphone, then reload.
Puis-je installer Voice Recorder en tant qu’application web et l’utiliser hors ligne ?
Oui. Voice Recorder est une application web installable (PWA) : elle s’installe depuis votre navigateur, sans passer par une boutique d’applications. Cliquez sur « Installer l’application » en haut de cette page dans Chrome ou Edge (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS) ; sur Android, utilisez « Partager » → « Ajouter à l’écran d’accueil » sur iPhone et iPad ; ou « Fichier » → « Ajouter au Dock » dans Safari 17+ sur Mac. L’application s’ouvre alors dans sa propre fenêtre avec sa propre icône, et comme elle s’exécute entièrement dans votre navigateur, elle continue de fonctionner hors ligne.
