A screen recorder that stays private
Most free screen recorders add a watermark, limit you to a few minutes or upload your video. This one records with your browser’s own screen capture API, writes the video in memory and lets you download it straight away — there’s no server involved.
Audio options
- Microphone — narrate a tutorial or bug report.
- Tab audio — when you share a Chrome or Edge tab, tick “Share tab audio” in the picker to include its sound.
- System audio — available when sharing the entire screen on Windows in Chrome and Edge.

Questions fréquentes
Is there a time limit or watermark?
No. Record as long as your computer’s memory allows, with no watermark. Very long recordings use a lot of RAM, so split long sessions.
Why is there no sound from my screen?
Browsers only share audio from a tab (tick “Share tab audio”) or, on Windows, the entire screen. Windows and macOS app windows are shared without sound.
Can I record on my phone?
No. Mobile browsers don’t support screen capture. Use your phone’s built-in screen recorder instead.
Puis-je installer Screen Recorder en tant qu’application web et l’utiliser hors ligne ?
Oui. Screen Recorder est une application web installable (PWA) : elle s’installe depuis votre navigateur, sans passer par une boutique d’applications. Cliquez sur « Installer l’application » en haut de cette page dans Chrome ou Edge (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS) ; sur Android, utilisez « Partager » → « Ajouter à l’écran d’accueil » sur iPhone et iPad ; ou « Fichier » → « Ajouter au Dock » dans Safari 17+ sur Mac. L’application s’ouvre alors dans sa propre fenêtre avec sa propre icône, et comme elle s’exécute entièrement dans votre navigateur, elle continue de fonctionner hors ligne.
