Countdown Timer Generator — Embed a Countdown on Any Website

Build a countdown timer for a launch, sale, webinar or event and embed it anywhere — Webflow, WordPress, Shopify or plain HTML. Pick the end date, time and time zone (so every visitor counts down to the same moment), the units, a style and your colors, and what happens at zero: show a message, hide the timer or redirect.

Embed code

In Webflow add an Embed element (or Site settings → Custom code) and paste the code; in WordPress use a Custom HTML block.

Comment utiliser : Countdown Timer Generator

  1. Pick the end date and time and the time zone they are in — the timer converts it, so it ends at the same moment for every visitor.
  2. Choose which units to show and type the labels in your language.
  3. Decide what happens at zero: a message, hiding the timer or going to a page.
  4. Pick a style and colors, then copy the snippet into an Embed (Webflow) or Custom HTML block (WordPress).

One moment for every visitor

The end time is stored as an exact UTC moment calculated from the date, time and time zone you choose — including daylight saving time on that date. A visitor in Tokyo and one in New York see different local clocks but the timer reaches zero at the same instant.

Lightweight and self-contained

The snippet is a few lines of HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no library. Its styles are scoped to a unique class so they don’t clash with your site, it updates once per second, uses aria-live politely so screen readers aren’t flooded, and pauses its work when the tab is hidden. Several timers can live on one page — generate one snippet per timer.

Only count down to real deadlines: fake “evergreen” timers that restart for every visitor mislead customers and are restricted by consumer-protection rules in many countries. Related: Time Zone Converter, Unix Timestamp Converter.

Questions fréquentes

How do I add a countdown timer to Webflow?
Generate the timer, add an Embed element where it should appear, paste the code and publish. It works on the published site and in preview.
Will the timer end at the same time for everyone?
Yes. The end time is converted from the time zone you choose to an exact moment, so it doesn’t depend on the visitor’s own clock settings or time zone.
What happens when it reaches zero?
Whatever you chose: it shows your message, hides itself or sends the visitor to a page, such as your live sale.
Can I put two timers on one page?
Yes — each snippet uses its own unique class, so generate one for each timer.
Comment fonctionne l’installation.
