Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how devpack.app (“we”, “us”), operated from the United States, handles information when you use devpack.app (the “Service”). Short version: most tools run entirely in your browser and we never receive what you type into them. With your permission we use Google Analytics to measure traffic, and the Service may show ads from Google AdSense to stay free. You can change your choices at any time under Your privacy choices.

1. Information you enter into tools

Browser-based tools (formatters, converters, color, image and text tools) process your content locally on your device. It never leaves your computer and we never receive it. Analytics and advertising scripts do not read tool inputs.

Server-based tools (SEO Checker, Broken Link Checker, Website Crawler, DNS Lookup, SSL Checker, API Tester and similar) send the URL, domain or request you enter to our server, which fetches the requested public resource and returns the result. Results may be cached in memory for a few minutes and are then discarded; they are not stored in a database. Our crawler respects robots.txt.

2. Information collected automatically

The Service is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States). Like most websites, Vercel processes technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time of request to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for no longer than 30 days unless needed to investigate abuse.

3. Google Analytics

If you allow Analytics, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Service — for example which pages and tools are visited, how visitors arrived (search, referral), device and browser type, approximate location (country/city derived from IP address) and interactions such as starting a tool. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and assigns a random identifier. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We do not send names, email addresses, tool inputs or other directly identifying information to Google, and we have turned off Google signals and ad personalization for analytics unless you also allow Advertising.

Google Analytics is not loaded until you opt in. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

To keep the tools free, the Service may display ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

We only request personalized ads if you allow Advertising in Your privacy choices. If you do not, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we request non-personalized ads. Non-personalized ads are based on context (such as the page you are viewing) rather than your browsing history, but Google may still use cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and to combat fraud and abuse. See How Google uses cookies in advertising. Ads are provided by Google and are not endorsements by us.

5. Cookies and local storage

We group cookies and browser storage into the categories below. Only Essential storage is used without your permission.

You can change your choice anytime via Your privacy choices in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; we also delete Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can additionally block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings.

6. Anonymous usage statistics

If you allow Analytics, your browser also sends only the name of a tool to our server when you start using it, so we can rank “Popular tools”. We store a total count per tool. Your IP address is used briefly in memory, combined with a random value that changes on every server restart, to count each visitor at most once per day; it is never written to disk or linked to you.

7. How we use information

To provide, secure and improve the Service; to prevent abuse; to understand which tools are useful and which to build next; and, if ads are shown, to fund the Service through advertising as described in section 4.

8. Sharing and “sale” of personal information

We do not sell your personal information for money and we never share tool inputs. However, if you allow Advertising, Google may receive identifiers (such as cookie IDs), your IP address and information about pages you visit in order to show personalized ads. Under some U.S. state laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA), this may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. Google Analytics data is processed by Google as our service provider. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

Categories of personal information that may be collected: identifiers (IP address, cookie IDs), internet or network activity (pages viewed, interactions, referrer, browser and device data) and approximate geolocation derived from IP address. Sources: you and your browser. Recipients: Vercel (hosting), Google (analytics and, if enabled, advertising).

9. Your privacy choices and rights (U.S.)

Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising: use Your privacy choices and turn off Advertising (or click “Reject all”). We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt-out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for that browser.

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws), you may also have the right to know what personal information we process, to access, correct or delete it, and to appeal a decision about your request. Because we keep almost no personal information ourselves, most requests can be answered quickly — email support@devpack.app. Data held by Google can also be managed through your Google account and the links above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask to verify the request.

10. Retention

Server logs: up to 30 days. Tool results: a few minutes in memory. Tool-usage counts: aggregate totals only. Google Analytics data: retained for 14 months, after which Google deletes it. Advertising cookies: as set by Google (see section 4). Local storage: until you clear it or change your choice.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where required), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Visitors outside the United States

devpack.app is operated from the United States and hosted on Vercel’s infrastructure, so information is processed in the United States and other regions where Vercel and Google operate. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we only use analytics and advertising cookies with your consent (legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); hosting and security processing rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)). You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. Transfers to the United States rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (where the recipient is certified) or Standard Contractual Clauses.

13. Security

We use HTTPS, security headers and rate limiting, and we do not store tool inputs. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

14. Changes

We may update this policy, for example when we add or remove a service provider. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
