How to Install devpack Apps on Windows, Mac, Android & iPhone
Every tool on devpack.app can be installed as an app — the whole toolbox, or just the tools you use every day, each with its own icon and window. Nothing to download from an app store, no account: installing takes one click and the app is free. Browse all the apps →
Install on your device
Windows, macOS, Linux & ChromeOS
Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- Open devpack.app — or the tool you want — in Chrome or Edge.
- Click Install app on the page, or the install icon at the right of the address bar.
- Confirm with Install. The app opens in its own window and appears in your Start menu, Launchpad or app launcher.
Mac
Safari 17 or later
- Open the page in Safari.
- Choose File → Add to Dock, or click the Share button and choose Add to Dock.
- Click Add. The app lives in your Dock and Launchpad.
Android
Chrome, Edge or Samsung Internet
- Open the page in your browser.
- Tap Install app on the page, or open the browser menu and choose Install app / Add to Home screen.
- The app appears on your home screen and in your app drawer.
iPhone & iPad
Safari, or Chrome on iOS 16.4+
- Open the page and tap the Share button.
- Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The tool opens full screen from your home screen.
Uninstalling
Remove the app like any other: right-click its icon and choose Uninstall (Windows, ChromeOS, Linux), drag it out of the Dock and delete it from your Applications folder (Mac), or long-press the icon and choose Remove (Android, iPhone, iPad). Data a tool saved on your device is removed with it.
Questions
Is the app different from the website? No — it is the same tool, kept on your device so it starts instantly and works offline.
Why don’t I see an install option? Firefox on desktop does not support installing web apps; use Chrome, Edge or Safari. If the app is already installed, the button is hidden.
How much space does it use? Usually a few megabytes per tool; larger tools such as the SQL Playground or PDF tools keep their engine on your device so they run offline.
