How to use the Merge PDF
- Drop two or more PDF files on the box, or click it to choose them.
- Drag the files, or use the arrows, to set the order of the merged document.
- Enter a file name and click Merge PDFs & download.
How PDF merging works
Merging copies every page of each file, in the order you choose, into a new PDF. Pages keep their original size, orientation, text, images, links and form appearance, so a merged document looks exactly like the separate files printed one after the other. Text stays selectable and searchable — nothing is rasterised.
Typical uses
- Combining a cover letter, CV and certificates into a single application PDF.
- Sending one file instead of many scanned pages or monthly invoices.
- Joining chapters or reports exported separately from Word or Google Docs.
What is and is not kept
| Kept | Not kept |
|---|---|
| Page content, fonts, images, page sizes, rotation, internal links on each page | Bookmarks/outlines, document-level metadata and interactive form fields from the second file onward |
Need only some pages? Merge first, then remove or reorder pages with Organize PDF, or pull a range out with Split PDF.
Private by design
Most online PDF services upload your document to their servers. This tool processes the file entirely in your browser with open-source libraries (pdf-lib and PDF.js), so contracts, invoices, bank statements and IDs never leave your device. It works offline once the page has loaded, and there are no file-count limits, watermarks or sign-ups.
Tools that pair well with the Merge PDF
- JPG to PDF — Turn photos, scans and screenshots into a single PDF.
- Rotate PDF — Fix sideways or upside-down scans: rotate individual pages or all of them, check the thumbnails and save the corrected PDF.
- PDF to JPG — Turn every page of a PDF into a high-quality JPG or PNG image — for slides, social posts, thumbnails or apps that do not accept PDF.
- Add Watermark to PDF — Stamp text such as CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or COPY across every page, centred, diagonal or tiled — with a live preview before you download.
