Why convert WebP to PNG?

Browsers handle WebP well, but plenty of software does not: older Photoshop versions, some print services, email newsletters, Office documents and upload forms still expect PNG or JPG. Converting WebP to PNG keeps transparency and quality intact so the image works everywhere.

Transparency

Both formats support an alpha channel, so transparent areas are kept. Tick Flatten transparency if you want a solid background instead.

Quality and file size

PNG is lossless, so the output keeps every pixel of the decoded WebP. File size depends on image content: graphics with flat colors stay small, photos become large.

Private, batch conversion

Conversion uses your browser’s own image decoder and the HTML canvas, so files are never uploaded — useful for personal photos, client work and screenshots with sensitive data. Drop as many files as you like, then download them one by one or all together as a ZIP. You can also set a maximum width to resize large images while converting. Need smaller files without changing the format? Use the image compressor; to change dimensions only, use the image resizer.
