How to use the XML to CSV Converter
- Paste your XML or drop it from a file.
- The repeating record element is detected; pick another one from the list if needed.
- Check the table preview, then copy or download the CSV.
How records and columns are found
The converter looks for the element that repeats most often under the same parent — <item> in an RSS feed, <product> in a shop feed, <row> in an export — and makes each one a CSV row. Child elements become columns, attributes become columns prefixed with @, and deeper nesting is flattened with dots: price.amount, price.@currency. Repeated children get numbered columns.
Opening the CSV in Excel
The CSV is UTF-8 with proper quoting, so commas, quotes and line breaks inside values are safe. If Excel puts everything in one column, choose the semicolon delimiter — Excel in many European locales expects it — or import the file with Data → From Text/CSV.
Private by design
Conversion runs entirely in your browser — your code is never uploaded, so it’s safe for proprietary projects.
