• <thead> and <th scope="col"> mark the header row, so screen readers announce the column name for each cell.
• <tbody> holds the data rows; browsers add it anyway, but writing it keeps your CSS selectors predictable.
• Only use tables for tabular data — for page layout, use CSS Grid instead.
