How to use the Metronome
- Set the tempo with the slider, the ± buttons or the arrow keys — or tap the tempo with Tap tempo or the T key.
- Pick a time signature; beat one is accented.
- Press Start or Space.
Accurate timing
Clicks are scheduled on the Web Audio clock a little ahead of time, so the beat stays steady even if the page is busy — unlike timers, which drift. The tempo name follows the classical markings: Largo (40–60), Adagio (66–76), Andante (76–108), Moderato (108–120), Allegro (120–156), Presto (168–200).
