How to use the Rotate & Flip Image
- Drop one or more images on the box.
- Use the 90° buttons, 180°, flip horizontal/vertical, or the fine-angle slider to straighten.
- Pick what fills the corners when you straighten, and the output format.
- Download the preview image, or apply the same rotation to every image and download a ZIP.
Rotate, flip or straighten?
- Rotate 90° / 180° — fixes photos that come out sideways or upside down. Rotation in 90° steps is lossless in pixels: nothing is cropped or blurred.
- Flip horizontal — mirrors left and right, e.g. to un-mirror a selfie or make a subject face into the page.
- Flip vertical — mirrors top and bottom, useful for reflections and some design effects.
- Fine angle — straightens a tilted horizon. The canvas grows to fit the rotated image; choose transparent, white or black for the new corners.
Why does my photo show sideways in some apps?
Phones often store photos in the sensor’s orientation and add an EXIF Orientation tag that tells viewers to rotate it. Apps that ignore the tag show it sideways. This tool applies the orientation and writes the pixels the right way up, so the result looks correct everywhere — inspect the tag with the EXIF viewer.
Crop the result with the image cropper or shrink it with the image compressor.
Private by design
Your images are processed entirely in your browser with the Canvas API — nothing is uploaded, so personal photos, screenshots and client work never leave your device. There are no watermarks, sign-ups or file limits beyond your device’s memory.
Tools that pair well with the Rotate & Flip Image
- Image Resizer — Resize a photo to exact pixel dimensions or a percentage, crop it to fill a social-media size, or fit it inside a frame with a background colour — all locally in your browser.
- Watermark Image — Protect and brand your photos with a text or logo watermark — in a corner, centred or tiled across the image — and apply it to a whole batch at once, privately.
- Image to Base64 — Turn a PNG, JPEG, SVG, WebP or GIF into a Base64 data URI with copy-ready CSS and HTML — or paste a Base64 string to preview and download the image.
- Favicon Generator — Make a complete favicon package from a logo, a letter or an emoji: a multi-size favicon.ico, Apple touch icon, Android/PWA icons, a Webflow webclip, the web manifest and the HTML tags to paste.
