Each column is one hour of your day. Green is 9:00–17:00 in that city; bold green columns work for everyone.

Your data never leaves your computer. All processing happens 100% locally in your browser.

How to use the Time Difference Calculator

  1. Your own time is shown first.
  2. Add a city or time zone.
  3. Read how many hours ahead or behind it is.

Why does the time difference change?

Countries change their clocks on different dates, and many don’t change them at all. For a few weeks each year, the gap between two cities can be an hour different from usual. This tool uses your browser’s up-to-date time zone data, so it always shows the difference for today.

To convert a specific time, use the Time Zone Converter. For more on clock changes, read how daylight saving time affects time zones.

Frequently asked questions

Does this include daylight saving time?
Yes. The difference shown is correct for the current date.
Why are some time zones 30 or 45 minutes off?
Some places use offsets that aren’t whole hours. India is UTC+5:30, and Nepal is UTC+5:45.
Is my data uploaded?
No. It all runs in your browser.
Can I install Time Difference Calculator as a web app and use it offline?
Yes. Time Difference Calculator is an installable web app (PWA) — installed from your browser, not downloaded from an app store. Click Install app at the top of this page in Chrome or Edge (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS) or on Android, use Share → Add to Home Screen on iPhone and iPad, or File → Add to Dock in Safari 17+ on a Mac. It then opens in its own window with its own icon, and because it runs entirely in your browser it keeps working offline. Firefox on desktop can’t install web apps. How installing works.
